Oral surgery is often needed to help improve a patient’s oral health. For instance, some people have never had their third molars (“wisdom teeth”) removed. If these teeth are causing issues, like misalignment or damage to other teeth, then a wisdom teeth removal procedure is recommended. Other dental issues that may affect patients include receding gums that can be addressed with gum grafting and dental implants that will help replace the roots of missing teeth. Dr. Hofkes’ treatments are generally out-patient procedures. Many may take as little as one hour to complete, with most taking just a few hours from beginning to end.
